Abbreviations
TTM = through the mail. It means I wrote a letter to someone and got its autograph by mail.
VV = via venue. It’s a success obtained by mail after writing to a celebrity on the set of a movie or at a theater for example.
IP = in person. It’s a signature obtained from a celebrity when meeting in person.
PP = preprinted. It means it’s a printed autograph. Not a real signature then.
AP = autopen. It’s a picture signed by a machine which recreates a given signature. Not real either.
SEC = secretarial. It's a fake autograph signed by an assistant or secretary. Not authentic at all!
SAE = self-addressed envelope (it's an envelope with my name and address on it. I enclose it with my request so the celebrity's staff doesn't have to rewrite the full information on an envelope)
SASE = self-addressed stamped envelope (same as SAE but with a stamp on it, so the postage is already paid)
LOR = letter of request (the letter I send when asking for an autograph)
IRC = international reply coupon
RTS = return to sender. This is when I get back a letter I sent. There can be multiple reasons to explain a return to sender: wrong address, wrong number/code or address no longer valid for example.
